ASRT Endorsed Curricula

The ASRT endorses three curricula that it did not produce. These curricula include the Nuclear Medicine Curriculum developed by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, the National Education Curriculum for Sonography developed through a national consensus conference and hosted on the website of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists Curriculum Guide.

Nuclear Medicine Curriculum

The Nuclear Medicine Technology Competency-Based Curriculum Guide (5th Edition) is published by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and endorsed by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. The latest edition of this guide was authored by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Technologist Section – Educators Transition Task Force.

For any institution offering a nuclear medicine technology program, this curriculum guide is the definitive source for the educational objectives of the professional component of the program.

The most current nuclear medicine curriculum can be found on the SNMMI Educator's Committee page.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Curriculum

The National Education Curriculum for Sonography (NEC) is the product of a national consensus conference involving 18 related professional organizations (listed below). Working collaboratively and representing the sonographic professional community, these organizations produced a national sonographic educational curriculum guide for use by developing and existing sonographic educational programs. The objective of this project was to produce a curriculum outline that, when implemented, may assist in the achievement of educational objectives to produce an entry-level sonographer.
